Age Equity Alliance builds best-in-class workplaces for all ages.
Age Equity Alliance, a Texas-based 501(c)(3) working globally, is proud to announce the appointment of two new board members, Jennifer Sherak and Surbhi Kalia. This addition strengthens AEA’s mission to debunk age-related myths and stereotypes while promoting the longevity mindset advantage as an essential strategy for talent sustainability in the workplace.
Jennifer Sherak brings a wealth of expertise as an accomplished pharmaceutical and commercial executive. With a career spanning over 25 years across pharmaceutical, biotech, wellness, and skincare industries, Jennifer is the founder and CEO of Sherak Skin Renewal Chemistry, a science-driven skincare line designed for women over 40. She also serves on the Board of Directors for LiveWorld, a leading social-first digital agency and software company.
Jennifer’s previous roles include Senior Vice President and President of Specialty Physician Services at AmerisourceBergen (now Cencora), where she led the revitalization and multi-billion-dollar growth of a major business unit.
Her career also includes significant achievements at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Shire Pharmaceuticals, Baxalta, Biodesix, Celgene, Bristol Myers Squibb, and Novartis, where she spearheaded commercial strategy and global product lifecycle planning, particularly in oncology.
“I am thrilled to join the board of the Age Equity Alliance and address the crucial topic of age equity in the workplace,” said Jennifer. “I look forward to helping expand awareness and create pathways toward innovative, age-positive workplaces for all generations.”
Surbhi Kalia, an independent strategy consultant, brings over 12 years of experience in strategy, advocacy, and public policy. She has led complex initiatives in healthcare, advised C-suite executives, and was instrumental in launching the Women’s Age Lab, the first center focused on healthy aging and gender equity. Surbhi has built influential partnerships and advocacy strategies, engaging policymakers, community leaders, and industry experts.
Her thought leadership has been featured in high-impact platforms such as The Lancet, Journal of the American Geriatrics Society, and The Toronto Star.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science in Public Policy from the University of Toronto and the University of London, respectively.
“It is very exciting to bring Jennifer and Surbhi onto the board,” said AEA co-founder and board chair. “Their unique set of experiences and skills will better enable Age Equity Alliance to achieve its mission and create needed workplace change.”
