Deb Woolridge, MS ED, SHRM-SCP, is AEA’s co-lead of the Operations and Strategy team.
She is a human resources practitioner and operations professional with more than 20 years of experience working in both nonprofit and for-profit companies. While she has developed and or evolved HR departments for start-ups and businesses in transition, her love is creating positive work cultures that engage and retain employees.
Her early career mosaic includes vocational rehabilitation counseling, business operations, relationship management and training and development. Deb helps employees and employees-in-transition identify their passions, address work issues and focus on a positive and achievable future in work.
She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), the largest organization devoted to human resources in the world. As a member of the organization’s New York Chapter, she was former chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She also held the role of VP of Membership for the New York chapter of the American Society of Training and Development (now ATD, Association for Talent Development).
She earned certifications in human resources resulting in the designations SPHR and SHRM-SCP. An avid learner, she earned several certifications from other colleges in conflict resolution, leadership training and mediation.
A native New Yorker, Deb holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in education in the field of Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling, both from Hunter College.
In addition to human resources and operations management, Deb is a certified SBA SCORE NYC Mentor in New York City where she supports small businesses through roundtables and service advisory boards.
