What Is Age Equity?
Age Equity is about neutrality. In the workplace, age equity refers to building a base of talent across the age spectrum through age neutral policies, processes, and workplace culture. Doing so maximizes cognitive diversity, increases innovation and decision-making, and improves business outcomes.
Why Age Equity Matters
Talent management success depends on access to talent. Workers 65+ represent the fastest-growing talent pool. Moreover, studies show the population of younger workers is not growing fast enough to fill future needs.

“Graycom was formed out of a desire to support the 50+ crowd within Dexcom through the creation of an ERG to support our workplace, workforce, and product. AEA helped to get us off the ground with a very high level of support, expertise, guidance, and professionalism as we set priorities, goals, and walked into the unknown. Sheila’s keynote address has helped to raise ageism awareness within Dexcom, and her continued consulting guidance helped us to work with senior management to minimize risks and properly address EEOC statements involving age equity. Through exposure to an expanding view of ageism, our Graycom ERG leadership has even grown to understand how ageism is not always all about the 50+ crowd! AEA’s guidance has helped us grow into to an expanded charter for Graycom, where we are working to raise age awareness for everyone!
We could not have gotten where we are with our ERG without the support and care of AEA’s help. Thank you so very much, Dexcom is better off because of your guidance!“

“The sessions were a great introduction to the impact of ageism in the workplace. Sheila’s vast knowledge of this topic, along with the examples and stories shared, helped participants understand the value of age-inclusive workplaces and how they might begin to address it. So happy to have an organization that is solely focused on ensuring a workplace’s culture embraces, and is fair to, all ages.”
